This post is inspired by my son and a very irritated patch of dry skin on his right ankle. When Arthur was a few months old he had a patch of dry skin on his ankle that was red, crusty and sore. He didn’t have any other patches of dry skin that looked like eczema anywhere else on his body. We tried all kinds of things in vain and nothing really worked until it suddenly cleared up.
Dairy and Eczema
A few months ago he developed the dry skin again. It looked sore and irritated. We struggle to clear it up for long because he rubs his ankle vigorously on the carpet and makes it sore. The skin then breaks open again. He also developed other dry skin patches that looked like eczema, mainly on his legs. I believe dairy was part of the cause, a common contributor to such conditions. We’ve since switched him over to goats milk – the same as his sister. Goats milk made a big difference for my daughter. She too suffered with eczema and switching over to goats milk helped her tremendously. The protein in goats milk is much easier for our bodies to digest. There are so many stories out there about how switching cows milk for goats milk cleared eczema or dramatically improved it.
An Improvement in Dry Skin – But Something Else Was Needed
The switch really helped a lot with the dry skin. However, the action of rubbing the ankle on the carpet kept causing the skin to break open. This caused a problem as many creams can’t be applied to broken skin. I’m also very conscious of what I put on to my children’s skin. I don’t use chemical laded products or bubble baths. I use the Rhassoul Clay Cleansing Bar to wash them because I know it’s only made from pure natural ingredients.
How Volu-Lift Cream Helped
While feeling a little frustrated with the situation, I decided to try NCN Volu-Lift Cream on the sore patch. Full of healing and soothing actives, I just had a good feeling that this was going to heal the skin. I didn’t hesitate in applying it even though the skin was broken in places. The fact that it doesn’t contain nasty chemicals and is packed full of goodness made me feel confident that it would help. The dry skin and soreness cleared and healed completely within a few days.
This is what Volu-Lift can do on skin that needs some serious TLC. Obviously, in terms of anti-ageing it does so much more. Full of antioxidants and also the Hexapeptide – Adifyline. It lifts skin and redefines the facial contours.
